OUR MISSION

YA ALBI is a family and female-run initiative. Launched in 2024, YA ALBI is the start of a journey back to our roots. One that begins with a heartfelt connection to heritage.

YA ALBI is a celebration of olive oil as a living link to Palestine. Each bottle tells a story, a tradition. Every pour is a daily remembrance of a cherished homeland, and more importantly an active act of Palestinian resistance.

It’s Palestinian olive oil made and distributed the way it should be. Produced in the West Bank, we take pride in supporting Palestinian farmers who are paid premium wages. Founded by a San Francisco and Los Angeles-based Palestinian mother-and-daughter duo whose family was uprooted from Palestine in 1969, YA ALBI is clear in its mission: we exist to offer the Palestinian diaspora a connection back to their homeland. It’s personal. 

For everyone else, YA ALBI is a celebration of the resilience of the olive trees that have stood on Palestinian land for over a thousand years, and the people who embody this enduring spirit. It is a love letter from Palestine.

Our oil offers a unique profile—rich, robust, and slightly peppery—a reflection of the fertile land from which it comes. We believe that the preservation of Palestinian olive oil is crucial, not only to savor a taste that is rooted in history, but to actively support a community continuously at risk of erasure. 

 

OUR STORY

Our story is simple. YA ALBI is founded by a mother and daughter duo, who are second and third generation Palestinian-Americans. After a decade-long career in fashion, Yasmeen felt compelled to use her expertise in a way that honors her Palestinian heritage. Her mother, Suzanne, is a lifelong activist who has always championed the Palestinian cause. Together, YA ALBI reflects their shared healing journey.
